Essential oil of Niaoulis (pentathlon myrtle)
Melaleuca quinquenervia
The five-legged myrtle is a large evergreen tree native to Australia. The leaves of these trees grow up to 13 cm in length, and the flowers located at the ends of the branches are yellowish and resemble small whiskers. Due to the unusual appearance of this tree, people came up with many names for it – they call it a tree with paper bark or a bottle brush. The pentagonal myrtle is a tea tree-like plant with a sweet woody aroma. Due to the combination of eucalyptol and monoterpenes in the composition, this essential oil has a stimulating effect. Widely used in various cosmetic products such as lotions, creams and soaps, Niaoul’s essential oil helps the skin look healthy and clean. Used for massage, this oil can help relax specific areas.
Back in the old days, the local inhabitants of Autralia appreciated the disinfecting properties of this oil and when skin wounds appeared, irritations simply put leaves on the site of irritation.
Also has a positive effect on the respiratory tract, the immune system, the process of regeneration of cells
