DoTERRA Ravintsara oil is distilled from the leaves of the Cinnamomum camphora tree growing in Madagascar.
This tree is powerful and hardy, with a thick trunk and deep roots.
Grows up to 20 – 30 m. tall and can live more than 1000 years.
The camphor tree is considered sacred in Japan.
An example of the importance of the sacred tree is the 700-year-old camphor tree growing in the middle of the Kajashima station.
Locals protested against the relocation of the tree when it was necessary to expand the railway station, so the station was built around it.
The aroma of Ravintsara can be described as a combination of camphor and eucalyptus, but greener, uplifting and energizing.
Fresh and earthy Ravintsara oil has a strong cleansing and refreshing effect.
A refreshing aroma, like eucalyptus, is ideal for the cold season, while maintaining a light breath.
In energy aromatherapy, Ravintsara oil is associated with the throat chakra Vishuddha – facilitates verbal communication and the ability to express oneself through art and literature.
